Northrop Grumman Defense Systems (NGDS), Beavercreek Ohio, is seeking a DevOps Engineer/ Principal DevOps Engineer in support of programs at the National Air and Space Intelligence Center (NASIC) at Wright Patterson Air Force Base. Successful candidates should have a track record as an effective communicator and problem solver who is able to develop and maintain good working relationships with internal and external stakeholders. The candidate will be an active part of a DevOps Engineering team with expertise in GitLab, Kubernetes, Harbor, and related DevOps technologies. They will play a pivotal role in development and maintenance of continuous integration and continuous deployment (CI/CD) pipelines. This candidate will be planned to support a production environment on site at NASIC/WPAFB once properly cleared to support mission critical needs.

Basic Qualifications for a DevOps Engineer:

Kubernetes related certifications such as CKA (Certified Kubernetes Administrator), CKAD (Certified Kubernetes Application Developer), CKS (Certified Kubernetes Security Specialist), KCSP (Kubernetes Certified Service Provider)Experience with managing Kubernetes applications with Helm charts and ArgoCD automated deployments.Familiarity with OIDC Authentication and OAuth 2.0 Authorization with Identity Management Applications, such as Keycloak.Experience hardening, securing the Kubernetes cluster with monitoring and auditing dashboardsExperience developing automation techniques that improve deployment speed and service reliability in the containerized environmentExperience with scripting languages such as Python, Bash, and Ruby for automation tasksExperience working in an Agile environment/working knowledge of Agile principles and practicesExperience with project/issue tracking software tools like Jira and ConfluenceDemonstrates a clear understanding of Microservice ArchitecturesExperience with distributed revision-control systems such as GitExperience with web services and APIs, and an understanding of testing for web-based APIs with tools such as PostmanVMware Tanzu Kubernetes Grid (TKG) or similar DevOps architecturesSalary Range: $81,300.00 - $121,900.00Salary Range 2: $100,300.00 - $150,500.00The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay.
