DevOps Engineer – New Graduate

Position Summary
Thales is looking for a DevOps Engineer – New Graduate to join our In-Flight Entertainment and Connectivity (IFEC) Engineering Team in order to help develop our next generation of IFEC product suite. This position requires you to be responsible for the complete life cycle of new or modified software products including research & design, implementation, training, and support. To be successful, you should have knowledge of AGILE/SCRUM software development methodology, object-oriented programming concepts, and full software development life cycles.
In this position, you will also be accountable for your commitment (both technically and behaviorally), be able to cooperate effectively, and be adaptive when working with different stakeholders.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Develop software products by writing, testing, and documenting code.Provide technical documentation for system, features, and components.Ensure a quality product is delivered thorough unit testing and automated testing.Improve, enhance, and support existing operations.Design, build, install, configure and support production deployments.Implement and maintain security and data privacy best practices.Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or related study.Knowledge in development with GoLang, Java/Kotlin, web frameworks (React), Android and Linux.Able to demonstrate innovation in problem solving and have clear communication with team members and product owners.Able to follow and support agile methodologies and practices by actively participating in all SCRUM ceremonies.Able to adhere to and develop best practices in software engineering.Able to interact with individuals to solidify understanding of requirements and expectations.If you’re excited about working with Thales, but not meeting the requirements for this position, we encourage you to join our Talent Community!
Special Position Requirements
Schedule: Core Business Hours Monday-Friday (8am – 5pm).Physical Environment: Primary work environment is a typical office setting.Travel: Very limited travel potentially to other Thales manufacturing sites within the USA.Regulatory Compliance Requirements: Pre-Employment Drug Screening.What We Offer
The anticipated TTC range for this role is $88,188.32 – 114,422.00 USD Annual. The Company reserves the right to ultimately pay more or less than the posted range and offer additional benefits and other compensation, depending on circumstances not related to an applicant’s status protected by local, state, or federal law.
