DevOps Engineer – Platform Engineering

About the Role

We’re looking for a DevOps Engineer to work with a Platform Engineering team within a leading global insurance company. Based in Barcelona (hybrid format), you’ll help drive the evolution of the cloud infrastructure, CI/CD processes, and developer platform as part of a large-scale Agile transformation.

What You'll Do

Design and improve platform engineering solutions aligned with architecture and business needs.

Enhance our Internal Developer Platform (IDP) using Backstage.io to improve developer experience and enable self-service capabilities.

Automate build, test, deployment, and infrastructure tasks to accelerate software delivery.

Maintain and improve CI/CD pipelines across cloud-native environments.

Support the migration and deployment of applications to cloud platforms (AWS & Azure).

Collaborate with cross-functional teams including architects, product owners, and DevOps squads.

What You Bring

Strong experience with CI/CD pipelines, especially for Kubernetes and public cloud (e.g. ArgoCD, Crossplane).

Proficiency in container and orchestration tools (Kubernetes, Docker).

Knowledge of Infrastructure as Code tools like Terraform and Helm.

Experience with automation tools (Jenkins, scripting languages).

Familiarity with GitHub and version control best practices.

Basic understanding of AI technologies is a plus.
