**Job Title:** Device Technician

**Hours:** Monday-Friday 9:00am-5:30pm, 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week), Shift 1

Summary:
+ The Device Support Technician assists the department in delivering and maintaining a high quality, patient centered care model. This role requires clinical and working knowledge in the devices used by the Program in order to participate in activities to support patients. Responsibilities include but not limited to device maintenance, equipment inventory, patient transport, patient appointment coordination and patient education.
Responsibilities:
+ Inventory and management of devices and other related equipment
+ Maintain equipment storage, transport, and cleaning for all patients’ personal equipment on admission
+ Perform quality checks, data downloads, equipment checks
+ Manage and track patient devices through computer based programs for all equipment
+ Interacting with the manufacturers in regard to device management
+ Involved in coordination with team for new device financial processing and shipment of equipment
+ Assist with equipment recalls with clinical team
+ Assist in device setups, new devices
+ Active in identifying areas for patient care improvement/safety
+ Involved in supporting clinical staff with trends and quality analysis
+ Accurately documents in patient medical record consistent with established EPIC work flows as per practice. Using own login, document in EPIC using approved abbreviations, codes, smart phrases, insurance-related documentation, patient encounters, and communications per office policy.
+ Programs and distributes devices in ambulatory and inpatient hospital setting
+ Educates patient on device use and provides technical support with equipment
+ Maintains compliance to equipment related infection control procedures
+ Manages the inventory and ensures timely return of devices
+ Performs tasks associated with scheduling in EMR and in external vendor systems
+ Daily Communication with Care Teams
Credentials:
+ Basic Cardiac Life Support (Required)
Education or Equivalent Experience:
+ H.S. Diploma/GED (Required)
+ Education Specialization:Equivalent Experience:•1+ years experience in sleep medicine setting.
