Device Support Technician I
We are so glad you are interested in joining Sutter Health! **Organization:** SHSO-Sutter Health System Office-Bay **Position Overview:** Assists in providing ticket resolution, analysis, configurations, coordination, testing, and installation of technological equipment and mobile device based hardware, software, peripherals, local area networks (LANs), and other related end user devices equipment. May assist with informal training of computer and mobile device users. Assists in the maintenance of asset control and adherence to departmental and system policy directives while maintaining the highest level of data security. **Job Description** : **Device Support** + Provide set-up and ticket resolution for system-wide technology and mobile device hardware, operating system (OS) software, application programs, other end user related equipment, and local area network (LAN) interfaces. + Adhere to general guidelines and manage priorities based upon severity, workflow, and time constraints. + Performs maintenance and administrative duties to support departmental efforts. + Troubleshoot system failures with computers, mobility devices and associated technology equipment and network connectivity. + Work with Information Services (IS) team members to provide timely support using service management tracking philosophies and tools. + Provide timely technical support and training for users on the proper use of computing and mobile devices. + Responsible for finding and reporting trending issues within the environment. **Hardware Installation and Support** + Assist in applying configurations, installations, and repairs on computers, mobile devices, other end user equipment, and LAN interfaces. + Provide assistance in analyzing and and applying configurations to end user devices. + Configure and install new hardware and upgrades to existing Sutter Health deployed technology. + Validate and ensure proper configuration of installed computer and mobile devices. + Coordinate the installation of computers, mobile devices, and peripherals with vendors. **Software Installation and Support** + Perform installations of approved software on end user devices. + Coordinate installations of end user device software with clients. + Configure and install software upgrades, fixes, and patches. **System Maintenance and Support Administration** + Maintain a high standard and accurate ticket assignment, routing, and clarity in order to aid team efficiency as directed. + Assist in analyzing and maintaining end user devices in order to meet the technical and security standards of Sutter Health. + Assist in maintaining proper updates and OS patch configurations. + Utilize diagnostic tools in order to perform day-to-day maintenance. **EDUCATION:** + HS Diploma or General Education Diploma (GED) **SKILLS AND KNOWLEDGE:** + General knowledge of Microsoft and Macintosh operating systems. + General knowledge of active directory and associated file systems. + General knowledge of network topology. + General knowledge of quality control methods, understanding of problem identification, and resolution analysis. + General knowledge of troubleshooting methodology. + Verbal and writing skills to effectively communicate with diverse groups such as: executives, managers, and subject matter experts. + General knowledge of time management within provided guidelines. + General knowledge in installing, upgrading, and maintaining end user devices and associated end user equipment in a large corporate environment and basic network administration. + Ability to analyze information, problems, situations, practices, or procedures in order to identify relevant concerns and factors. Ability to submit knowledge base updates and additions. + Customer service skills in dealing with technology related issues and different levels of employees to include health care. + General knowledge of service management processes. **_These Principal Accountabilities, Requirements and Qualifications are not exhaustive, but are merely the most descriptive of the current job. Pay Range is $37.22 to $53.97 / hour _The salary range for this role may vary above or below the posted range as determined by location.
