Device Research & Early Development Engineer Co-Op 

 

YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES

The primary responsibilities of this role are to: 

Develop test fixtures to be used for characterize of medical devices;Develop test methods and protocols to be used for evaluation of medical devices;Setup and execute experimental tests in a laboratory setting to provide data indicating the performance of medical devices;Contribute to the development of data analysis tools to improve the efficiency of evaluating experimental results;Prepare of formal test reports to provide a record of testing activities and results;Prepare and present findings to cross functional program teams;Contribute to deliverables of support fielded products and required documentation for products under development.

Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:

 

Required Qualifications:

 

Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field;Knowledge and application of engineering and scientific concepts;Ability to apply technology, engineering concepts and methodologies to develop solutions;Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Ability to work independent as wellas in a team-oriented environment. 

 

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with data analysis in Python;Experience with development of automated test tools;Previous lab or medical device experience;Experience or exposure to hardware design or rapidprototyping.

 

 

Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $23.20 to $44.20. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant).  Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..  This salary (or salary range) is merely an estimate and may vary based on an applicant’s location, market data/ranges, an applicant’s skills and prior relevant experience, certain degrees and certifications, and other relevant factors.
