Device Research & Early Development Engineer Co-Op
YOUR TASKS AND RESPONSIBILITIES
The primary responsibilities of this role are to:
Develop test fixtures to be used for characterize of medical devices;Develop test methods and protocols to be used for evaluation of medical devices;Setup and execute experimental tests in a laboratory setting to provide data indicating the performance of medical devices;Contribute to the development of data analysis tools to improve the efficiency of evaluating experimental results;Prepare of formal test reports to provide a record of testing activities and results;Prepare and present findings to cross functional program teams;Contribute to deliverables of support fielded products and required documentation for products under development.WHO YOU ARE
Bayer seeks an incumbent who possesses the following:
Required Qualifications:
Currently enrolled in a Bachelor’s, Master’s, or PhD program in Bioengineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or related field;Knowledge and application of engineering and scientific concepts;Ability to apply technology, engineering concepts and methodologies to develop solutions;Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;Excellent written and verbal communication skills;Ability to work independent as wellas in a team-oriented environment.
Preferred Qualifications:
Experience with data analysis in Python;Experience with development of automated test tools;Previous lab or medical device experience;Experience or exposure to hardware design or rapidprototyping.
Employees can expect to be paid a salary of approximately between $23.20 to $44.20. Additional compensation may include a bonus or commission (if relevant). Additional benefits include health care, vision, dental, retirement, PTO, sick leave, etc..
