Location: Columbus, Ohio - Hybrid

About the Role
We’re looking for a Development Manager, HR Applications to lead the technical team behind our HR systems—including Oracle HCM, UKG Workforce Management, and a suite of HR SaaS platforms. This role is central to modernizing and transforming our HR operations, helping us build a more efficient and scalable HR ecosystem.

You’ll work closely with HR Product teams, IT leadership, and external vendors to deliver impactful solutions in a fast-paced, people-first environment. This is a high-visibility role with the potential to grow into a leadership position enabling our Development Center of Excellence (COE) for Content Services.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and mentor the HR Applications development team Support developers in delivering enhancements and projects Collaborate with HR Product teams to prioritize and implement solutions Serve as the technical lead on large-scale HR initiatives Ensure adherence to development best practices, including documentation and testing Manage team capacity planning and support IT project funding processes Oversee vendor performance and identify areas for optimization Drive efficiency and collaboration with Application Management Services (AMS) providers

Qualifications

Technical & Functional Skills
Required:

Oracle HCM (Core HR, Payroll, Benefits) UKG Workforce Management Oracle HCM Extracts & BI Publisher Middleware platforms such as Boomi (or similar: MuleSoft) Software development lifecycle methodologies: Agile, Waterfall, Hybrid (W-Agile) Experience managing platform teams

Preferred:

DevOps experience for non-HR applications Familiarity with .NET and Java Exposure to tools such as Adobe Experience Manager, Adobe Workfront, InRiver, and Content Stack Experience with CI/CD pipelines

Qualifications

3+ years of management experience 8+ years of HR domain expertise Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills Proven experience collaborating with Product Teams and leading cross-functional initiatives
