We are seeking a Development Engineer for Textiles in Coated Products (m/f/diverse) to join our innovative team in Hannover, Germany. In this role, you will be responsible for developing and improving textiles which form the backing for our high quality artificial leathers. You combine profound knowledge about textiles with a creative and open mind and a systematic workstyle.

Develop and optimize textile solutions to meet performance requirements and cost-efficiency targetsDrive innovation in sustainable textile materials, focusing on eco-friendly solutions and long-term viabilityManage and enhance the raw material portfolio through close collaboration with suppliers and coordination across international production sitesConduct testing and validation of textile properties through laboratory experiments and performance evaluationsCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful product development and market implementationEstablish and maintain strategic partnerships with technology providers to foster joint development initiatives and long-term cooperation

QualifikationenMaster’s degree in Textile Engineering, Materials Science, or a closely related disciplineExperience in textile engineering or related field, with a focus on textilesIn-depth knowledge of textile construction, manufacturing processes, and material propertiesExperience with technical textiles and usage in textile coated products preferredStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detailDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects efficiently and meet deadlinesEffective communication skills in both English and German, written and verbalCapable of working independently as well as collaboratively in a dynamic, fast-paced environmentWillingness to travel occasionally for project-related purposes
