If you share in our passion for teamwork, our vision to revolutionize industries and our goal to lead the future in media and technology, we want you to fast-forward your career at Comcast. **Job Summary** We are seeking an experienced Golang Developer to join our growing Operations Intelligence team. **Job Description** **Core Responsibilities** + About the Role:We are seeking an experienced Golang Developer to join our growing Operations Intelligence team.You will play a key role in designing and building scalable APIs, microservices, and automation solutionsthat power observability, monitoring and incident management capabilities for our global streamingoperations.You’ll contribute across a range of engineering efforts from backend services to automation toolinghelping improve how our systems detect, respond to, and resolve operational issues at scale.What You’ll Do:• Design and develop RESTful APIs and microservices using Golang• Build backend services that support observability, monitoring, and incident managementworkflows• Implement automation solutions to streamline operational processes• Optimize services for performance, reliability, and scalability in cloud environments• Work on event-driven architectures and real-time data processing to support intelligent alertingand correlation• Contribute to improving system observability and actionable insights for Operations teams• Collaborate on evolving the platform’s correlation and intelligent alerting capabilities• Collaborate with cross-functional teams across Operations Intelligence and partner engineeringgroups• Participate in code reviews, testing, and CI/CD pipelines• Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code• Stay current with Golang best practices and emerging automation technologies• Act as a self-starter with a proactive mindset, capable of independently navigating ambiguity &identifying opportunities for impact.• Bring a solution-oriented approach, with the ability to quickly master unfamiliar technologies,frameworks, & problem domains.• Participate in on-call rotations & provide operational support as neededQualifications:• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field• 3+ years professional experience developing production services in Golang• Strong background in building scalable APIs and microservices• Proficiency with Golang frameworks such as Gin, Echo, Revel• Solid understanding of Golang concurrency patterns, performance optimization, andengineering best practices (goroutines, channels, memory management)• Familiarity with Golang package management (Go Modules)• Experience integrating third-party APIs, handling rate limiting and data parsing• Experience with relational and NoSQL databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra,etc.)• Experience with Golang ORM tools such as GORM is a plus• Hands-on experience with Docker, Kubernetes, and cloud platforms such as AWS, GCP, or Azure• Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines and test-driven development (TDD)• Experience with event-driven systems (Kafka, Kinesis, etc.) is a plus• Familiarity with observability stacks (Prometheus, Grafana, ELK, OpenTelemetry)• Interest in building systems that improve reliability, availability, and operational intelligence• Strong collaboration and communication skillsNice to Have:• Experience building or contributing to the AIOps platform.• Experience working in streaming media, OTT platforms, or large-scale consumer services• Exposure to Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Pulumi) and modern cloud-native tooling• Contributions to open source Golang projects or active engagement in the Golang commu Comcast is proud to be an equal opportunity workplace.
