Development Release Engineering - Development Director
We are DRE, EA's global automation specialists; a team of more than 150 staff based in EA studios across North America, Europe and Asia Pacific. We work with our internal customers (EA's game, engine, product, and content teams) by providing services related to Build & Test Automation, Continuous Integration, Metrics Reporting, and Virtual Infrastructure.
You will report to the DRE Sims Development Director and support the DRE Sims team. You will provide structured processes to track progress, manage deadlines, and balance priority of both planned and unplanned work. You will work with our partners on the Maxis and Sims game teams to understand their needs and timelines, help coordinate their many deliverables and projects, and translating problems into policies that avoid risk.
Responsibilities:
Project management for team: Run stand-ups, retrospectives, etc.
Plan and prioritize on-demand requests against roadmap items
Track progress against franchise and team goals along defined performance metrics
Comprehend and express technical problems and solutions
Translate internal customer requests into clear and concrete tickets
Identify & improve communication and task workflows/processes
Maintain channels of communication with franchise teams
Manage Team Health by reducing duplicate work and celebrating victories
Qualifications:
3+ years of experience in a project management role
An interest in the nature of communication and categorization
Experience with Jira project management software
History of setting clear expectations while managing stakeholder relationships
Practical experience with the software development process
Knowledge of software development production methodologies (Scrum, Kanban, Waterfall)

COMPENSATION AND BENEFITS
The ranges listed below are what EA in good faith expects to pay applicants for this role in these locations at the time of this posting. Pay offered will be determined based on a number of relevant business and candidate factors (e.g. education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, or business needs).
PAY RANGES
* British Columbia (depending on location e.g. Vancouver vs. Victoria) * $115,100 - $161,200 CADIn British Columbia, we offer a package of benefits including vacation (3 weeks per year to start), 10 days per year of sick time, paid top-up to EI/QPIP benefits up to 100% of base salary when you welcome a new child (12 weeks for maternity, and 4 weeks for parental/adoption leave), extended health/dental/vision coverage, life insurance, disability insurance, retirement plan to regular full-time employees. Certain roles may also be eligible for bonus and equity.
