Amazon Studios is seeking a dynamic, self-motivated Development Coordinator to support the development teams in Latin America. The successful candidate will be able to effectively multi-task; react with appropriate urgency to situations and events that require quick response or turnaround; and efficiently and creatively solve difficult or complex problems that affect people within the group or other related groups. The candidate will also have great attention to detail while still meeting tight deadlines, have great organization skills and have the ability to switch gears at a moment's notice. The position is located in Sao Paulo and reports into the Head of International Originals for Brazil.
Key job responsibilities
- Organize meetings and events
- Review pitch materials, writer coverage and provide recommendation
- Act as a liaison to other Amazon Studios departments
- Evaluate the quality of scripts and offer creative feedback
- Track writers and directors
- Create weekly development reports
- Manage and maintain internal notes and systems to keep them up to date

The International Originals team provides customers around the world a compelling offering of authentic, culturally-relevant brand-defining TV and Movies that are broadly appealing, create word-of-mouth fans and advocates, and keep customers excited and proud to be Prime subscribers. To achieve this, we aim to differentiate our shows from other services by investing more dedicated time, resources, and budget to ensure we are raising the quality bar for local content, attracting the best on/off-screen local talent, and delivering content which has potential to reach the cultural zeitgeist in its home country (and potentially beyond).
Basic Qualifications
- 2+ years of studio or production company assistant, or 1+ years of creative executive experience
- Experience assessing industry talent and trends
- Experience with Microsoft Office products and applications
- Experience handling confidential information
- Must be fluent in both English (written and verbal)
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as an assistant at an agency, studio or production company a plus
