Bayer S.p.A. is looking for a smart and brilliant Developing Innovation Partner Ophthalmology for Retina. The Developing Innovation Partner Ophthalomology in Retina serves as the primary point of contact for scientific engagement with external stakeholders, focusing on Retina diseases. Acting beyond traditional commercial or medical roles, this expert builds long-term strategic relationships, shares scientific knowledge, and supports educational initiatives. The role combines deep therapeutic expertise with a strategic mindset to co-create value with stakeholders, align local activities with brand objectives, and contribute to improved patient outcomes.

 

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES


•    Plan, partner, and engage with HCPs as a subject matter expert, both proactively and reactively, using innovative tactics and formats to communicate, clarify, and educate on scientific data related to Retina Diseases and the Retina Patient Journey.
•    Identify, profile, segment HCPs and develop engagement plans and local strategies aligned with the brand strategy and Field Line Sales Managers guidance.
•    Take full accountability for all aspects of the successful launch and appropriate use of novel treatments.
•    Participate in and network at national and local congresses and conventions.
•    Collect and facilitate the setup of Investigator Initiated Research (IIR) proposals.
•    Define and implement the overall regional strategy within the assigned territory in collaboration with the Field Line Sales Managers.
•    Support the presentation of new information to hospital formularies and reimbursement decision-makers as needed.
•    Provide additional support to local clinical operations and Medical Advisors regarding strategic feasibility for company-sponsored clinical trials and facilitate medical affairs interventional and observational studies.

 

WHO YOU ARE:

•    Bachelor’s degree in natural/biological sciences, pharmacology, pharmacological chemistry, or medicine
•    3-5 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry as sales representative or MSL
•    Previous experience in Ophthalmology therapeutic area and Retina is a preferred requirement
•    Experience in participating or leading a project from inception to conclusion
•    Understanding of clinical trial design and rationale and critical analyses of scientific literature
•    Excellent written and verbal communication skills (presentation, public speaking and ability to manage objections)
•    Team working and ability to build productive work-relationships both internally and externally
•    Ability to work independently and as a demonstrated self-starter
•    Problem-solving and good organization skills with thorough attention to detail ensuring timely follow-through and closure with HCPs
•    Demonstrated business acumen
•    Intermediate English knowledge and Italian mother tongue
•    Residence-domicile and maximum availability to travel in the assigned territory (Marche, Abruzzo, Molise)
