Role Proficiency:

Independently develops error free code with high quality validation of applications guides other developers and assists Lead 1 – Software Engineering

Outcomes:

     Understand and provide input to the application/feature/component designs; developing the same in accordance with user stories/requirements.      Code debug test document and communicate product/component/features at development stages.      Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components.      Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models      Mentor Developer 1 – Software Engineering and Developer 2 – Software Engineering to effectively perform in their roles      Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system      Proactively identify issues/defects/flaws in module/requirement implementation       Assists Lead 1 – Software Engineering on Technical design. Detailed Job Description: The job holder is primarily responsible for ServiceNow Development. The primary responsibility includes developing work-flows & support incidents in the areas of various workflows that the application is comprised of. The role is expected include leading a project development or key bit of development within the Access Development POD, provide necessary technical support to team to ensure deliverables conform to schedules & quality standards. Acts as the team’s technical point of contact for day-to-day development support and as the technical lead. work closely with the business partners to understand the requirements and translate them to work deliverables. Specialists are also primarily responsible to drive process improvements & standardization in the respective areas to ensure improved quality and efficient services. The specialists are required to support to Management in delivery planning by technical & process related inputs for schedules, effort estimation and risk analysis and in identifying emerging technology trends. Principal Accountabilities • Develop code and ServiceNow workflows to standards. • Leading a project team, if required • Supporting other projects where necessary on a consultancy basis • Acting as a Service Now Access Pod Architect for the project, by leasing with product owners and other relevant colleagues to ensure development is created within the ServiceNow standards. • Turning requirements into technical task • Estimation of task, and support of planning to enable deliver date estimation. • Support task allocation given priority settings. • Monitoring team software developer to ensure deliveries are on time and to standards. • Carrying out code reviews • Facilitating and presenting Show and Tell meetings. • Understanding data and the usage to understand any data issues with required development. • Submit code releases, creating required CR records and communicating upcoming deployment requirements to relevant deployment and support teams. Attending pre deployment CAD meetings to support the projects’ deployment requirements. • Monitor changes to ensure all development adhere to IDAM and Standards. • Complete mandatory system documentation. • Set up time for self-training to keep up to speed with changing technologies. • Complete mandatory HR training and time logging • Improve work efficiency to support continues improvement in the IAM development team, • Maintain an awareness of operational risk and minimize the likelihood of occurrence. • Highlighting any risk, issues or concerns to the Project Manager. • Manage ServiceNow pod task to ensure the upgrade possess no risk to IAM access pod workflows. • Liaise with the general ServiceNow pod to understand upcoming training needs and ensure IAM Project POD full time employees are assigned to required training. • Any other duties requested of you to support the deliverables to ensure the project success. Mandatory Skills: • 6+ years of experience in software development with at least 2+ years of experience working on Request workflows within the ServiceNow application. • Knowledge of Identity and access management for personal and service accounts. The difference between Privilege and non-privilege, Human and System to System. • Advance knowledge of Augular and understanding of API development. • In depth knowledge of ServiceNow’s functionality, database structure, developer APIs, development tools and techniques • Must have good exposure to Agile Scrum practices and methodology. • ServiceNow certification (CSA,CIS) • Strong Core Java development experience • Demonstrated experience designing and developing process based solutions. • Demonstrated experience documenting user case processes, system design/development and BPM workflows • Ability to transform Business Requirement into Business Process, • End to End experience of ServiceNow -based application design and implementation. • Well versed with class hierarchy, Updateset set hierarchy, data layer, flows, UI Action /policy, deployment, Integration, SOAP Service • implementation in ServiceNow, Integration • Knowledge of linking ATF to Service Now workflows to enable automatic testing. • Able to work independently or as part of a team to deliver a set outcome. • Excellent verbal, active listening, and written communications skills along with demonstrated facilitation skills • Proven analytical and problem-solving skills Optional Skills: Java Scripting Java/J2EE Skills HTML Relevant Experience: At least 2+ year of experience in developing ServiceNow applications Principal Accountabilities
