Role: Senior Java Backend Developer

Job Description

We are looking for a Senior Java Backend Developer to join our team and contribute to building high-performance backend solutions for our client's e-commerce platforms. You will work in a fast-paced Agile environment and collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure applications.

Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java, Kotlin, and Spring Boot.

Build and optimize event-driven and messaging solutions with Kafka, MQ, and AWS Lambda.

Manage databases such as PostgreSQL, Oracle, and DynamoDB.

Integrate various systems using ATG 11.3, IBM App Connect, and IBM Integration Bus (IIB).

Implement and maintain CI/CD pipelines using Jenkins and GitLab CI/CD.

Ensure backend services meet performance, reliability, and scalability standards.

Participate in code reviews, testing, documentation, and team collaboration.

Mandatory Skills

Java (8+) – Strong development experience.

Kotlin – Minimum 4 years of hands-on experience.

Spring Boot – Proficiency in microservices architecture.

Kafka, MQ – Expertise in messaging systems.

PostgreSQL and DynamoDB – Deep database knowledge.

AWS Lambda – Experience with serverless cloud functions.

CI/CD tools – Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD.

ATG 11.3 – Prior experience required.

E-commerce platforms – Working knowledge essential.

Excellent communication skills in English (written and spoken).

Good to Have Skills

Experience with Oracle databases.

Familiarity with IBM App Connect and IBM Integration Bus (IIB).

Exposure to Agile/Scrum methodologies.

Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.

Prior experience in a multinational or distributed team environment.
