Developer III - Software Engineering

Role Proficiency:

Independently develops error free code with high quality validation of applications guides other developers and assists Lead 1 – Software Engineering

Outcomes:

     Understand and provide input to the application/feature/component designs; developing the same in accordance with user stories/requirements.      Code debug test document and communicate product/component/features at development stages.      Select appropriate technical options for development such as reusing improving or reconfiguration of existing components.      Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models      Mentor Developer 1 – Software Engineering and Developer 2 – Software Engineering to effectively perform in their roles      Identify the problem patterns and improve the technical design of the application/system      Proactively identify issues/defects/flaws in module/requirement implementation       Assists Lead 1 – Software Engineering on Technical design. Review activities and begin demonstrating Lead 1 capabilities in making technical decisions

Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and proactive ServiceNow Administrator with 4–6 years of hands-on experience to support the configuration, administration, and maintenance of the ServiceNow platform. The ideal candidate should have a strong understanding of ITSM processes, platform administration, and be capable of handling day-to-day operational activities, including incident, problem, change, and configuration management. ________________________________________ Key Responsibilities: • Perform daily administration, maintenance, and support of the ServiceNow platform. • Configure and maintain core applications such as Incident, Problem, Change, Service Catalog, Knowledge Management, CMDB, and Asset Management. • Manage user accounts, groups, roles, and permissions to ensure proper access controls. • Perform instance upgrades, patching, and plugin installations as required. • Monitor and maintain system performance and ensure platform availability and reliability. • Implement and manage update sets, workflows, UI policies, business rules, and client/server scripts. • Coordinate and support ServiceNow platform integrations with other tools via REST/SOAP APIs or MID Server. • Work closely with developers, functional leads, and business stakeholders to ensure platform alignment with organizational needs. • Support ServiceNow reporting and dashboards, including performance analytics. • Troubleshoot platform issues and manage problem resolution and root cause analysis. • Ensure compliance with governance, security, and data integrity standards. ________________________________________ Mandatory Skills & Qualifications: • 4–6 years of hands-on experience in ServiceNow platform administration. • Strong understanding of ITSM processes and ServiceNow ITSM modules. • Proficiency in ServiceNow platform configuration, including forms, fields, views, ACLs, and notifications. • Knowledge of Service Catalog, Flow Designer, Workflows, and Approvals. • Experience in managing roles and access control rules (ACLs). • Good understanding of CMDB structure and configuration item (CI) relationships. • Experience with reporting, dashboards, and Performance Analytics. • Basic knowledge of scripting (JavaScript, Glide API) within the ServiceNow environment. • Familiarity with Instance Cloning, Update Sets, and Application Deployment lifecycle. • Strong communication and documentation skills. ________________________________________ Preferred Skills: • ServiceNow Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification. • Exposure to ITOM, HRSD, CSM, or IRM modules is a plus. • Experience working in an Agile/Scrum environment. • Familiarity with MID Server and integration troubleshooting. • Understanding of platform performance tuning and syslog analysis. • Knowledge of ATF (Automated Test Framework) for basic test creation. ________________________________________ Soft Skills: • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. • Excellent interpersonal and collaboration skills. • Ability to work in a team-oriented and fast-paced environment. • Customer-focused mindset with attention to detail.
