Developer II - Software Engineering

Role Proficiency:

Acts under very minimal guidance to develop error free code; testing and documenting applications

Outcomes:

Understand the applications features and component design and develop the same in accordance with user stories/requirements. Code debug test and document; and communicate product/component/feature development stages. Develop optimized code with appropriate approach and algorithms following standards and security guidelines independently Effectively interact with customers and articulate their input Optimise efficiency cost and quality by identifying opportunities for automation/process improvements and agile delivery models Mentor Developer I – Software Engineering to become more effective in their role Learn technology business domain and system domain as recommended by the project/account Set FAST goals and provide feedback to FAST goals of mentees

StreamSets and Snowflake Developer Key Responsibilities: 1. Design and implement scalable data pipelines in StreamSets to migrate data from various SQL Server databases to Snowflake. 2. Design and implement StreamSets data pipelines using the StreamSets Python SDK. 3. Write SQL queries to extract, transform, and load data, ensuring high performance and accuracy. 4. Upgrade or implement StreamSets Data Collector engines using Docker. 5. Deploy credentials to Azure Key Vault and retrieve them in StreamSets. 6. Create stored procedures in Snowflake using JavaScript, Python, or SQL. 7. Create and manage Snowflake virtual warehouses. 8. Optimise Snowflake warehouses using best practices. 9. Implement data security policies such as Snowflake RBAC, masking policies, and row access policies. Required Technical Skills: 1. Strong understanding of StreamSets architecture and its various supported features. 2. Experience writing Python code to build data pipelines in StreamSets using the StreamSets SDK for Python. 3. Experience working with Docker containers. 4. Experience with ETL/ELT and it’s concepts 5. Strong understanding of Snowflake architecture, features, and best practices. 6. Proficient in SQL and Snowflake Specific SQL Functions 7. Experience using Snowpark and Snowpipe. 8. Experience writing and enabling Row Access Policies and Masking Policies in Snowflake. 9. Experience working with Snowflake’s end-to-end data features, such as tasks and streams. 10. Experience writing stored procedures in Snowflake using various languages, including Python, JavaScript, and SQL. 11. Experience working with GitHub Actions and Azure DevOps pipelines for CI/CD automation.
