Software Engineering
Purpose / Objectives:
· Flow development and support for Physical Verification, Extraction & Reliability topics using
· industry standard Electronic Design Automation (EDA) tools
Areas of Responsibility:
· This role is responsible for developing and maintaining Physical Verification/Extraction/Reliability design flows
· Work closely with methodology owner, design groups and DAE (Design Application
· Engineer) community to analyze and provide innovative and high quality flow solutions.
· Enhance existing CAD flow/methodologies on receiving feedback from Design community.
· Autonomous development and execution of QA for developed methodologies.
· Discover and communicate problems with the EDA vendors (act as interface between Design community and EDA vendors).
· Early communication and alignment of possible solutions together with all affected colleagues from the design/flow groups.
Position Description (Part II)

· Worldwide Product Design groups, Project managers, Functional Manager’s, Sub flow development team, Flow owners, Design Package/Technology Package
· development team, Technology Package Managers, EDA vendor’s
· Position Requirements:
· Education: ME / M.Tech / MS / Ph.D in Computer Science / Electronics
· Experience: 1 to 4 years
· Specific or Entrepreneurial Knowledge:
· Expertise in scripting language/automation using PYTHON, PERL
· Expertise in Cadence SKILL programming w.r.t design flow automation
· Hands on experience with data management/version control systems (git, svn)
· Familiar with full custom & semicustom design flows/design concepts.
· Excellent debugging skills to diagnose and devise workarounds for flow/design issues
· Exposure to working with multi-cultural and cross functional teams
· Proactive with good communication (assertive) and interpersonal skills
· Exposure to Physical Verification Extraction and Reliability concepts
· Exposure to EDA tools (Calibre, Assura, Virtuoso) and their interfaces
· Exposure to issue tracking tools (JIRA) is a definite plus
· Good project planning skills
· Exposure to Jenkins
· Exposure to Calibre (svrf, PERC), QRC, Star RC
