Developer II - DevOps Engineering
Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and motivated DevOps Developer to join our engineering team. This role is central to automating the installation, configuration, build, and deployment processes for software tools and applications across both on-premises and cloud environments. You will be responsible for configuring and maintaining CI/CD pipelines to ensure efficient and reliable delivery in an Agile setting.

Key Responsibilities

Implement automation solutions based on DevOps tool/component designs.

Develop and maintain components for software/tool installation, configuration, and deployment.

Configure, manage, and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support development and operations workflows.

Execute standard operating procedures (SOPs) and adapt DevOps practices for new environments and use cases.

Write clean, testable scripts and maintain thorough documentation.

Reuse, improve, or reconfigure existing components to create optimal technical solutions.

Assist in user onboarding to DevOps tools and platforms, with support from DevOps leads.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams in Agile environments.

Mentor junior team members and foster a culture of knowledge sharing.

Document technical procedures, configurations, and best practices for future reference.

Required Skills & Qualifications Primary Skills

2–5 years of experience in DevOps practices and tools.

Hands-on experience with CI/CD tools such as GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, or Azure DevOps.

Strong scripting ability in Python, Shell (Bash), PowerShell, Groovy, or Perl.

Proficiency with repository management systems like Git, Bitbucket, GitHub, or ClearCase, including experience automating repository migrations.

Working knowledge of build automation tools such as Maven and NPM.

Understanding of cloud infrastructure (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and Infrastructure-as-a-Service (IaaS).

Familiarity with software configuration, installation, and deployment best practices.

Secondary Skills

Integration experience with code quality tools like SonarQube.

Experience with test automation frameworks such as Selenium, JUnit, or NUnit.

Exposure to cloud-native tools and deployment patterns.

Working understanding of Agile methodologies and software development lifecycles.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.

Certifications in DevOps or cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP).

Experience supporting enterprise-scale DevOps platforms or developer enablement programs.

Familiarity with security automation tools and DevSecOps practices.
