Job Description

The developer is a key role on a collaborative and agile project team and is responsible for the design and production of our world-class business systems. These systems satisfy customer and organizational business requirements and enable Expeditors to set the standard for excellence in global logistics. The developer understands business problems and opportunities, while applying technical skills to the design, development, and testing of applications and systems. The developer should be able to work on their own without any dependencies and requires a deep understanding of the application.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience).At least 5-10 years of professional software development experienceObject-oriented programming, analysis, and design.Component-based development with Java 8, Spring, Spring BootExperience with Maven, Junit, Hibernate/JPA, and IntelliJ IDEExperience with SQL and relational database design/developmentExperience with HTML, CSS, and modern JavaScript frameworks like AngularUnderstanding of Agile software development methodologiesExperience writing unit tests, integration tests, and end-to-end.Operating systems include UNIX, Linux, WindowsExperience with Distributed Systems, REST API design, and Apache Kafka

RESPONSIBILITIES

Design & Analysis and understand interdependencies of various components of the project.Guide and mentor team junior’s members from a technical perspective to ensure quality delivery of the project.Ability to design and code complex programs to ensure better performance.Perform code review for the code developed by the team.

GOOD TO HAVE

Experience in Microservices architectureExperience with TypeScript, RxJS, and Jasmine TestingExperience with Event Driven Architecture, Domain Driven Design, CQRS
