STRATEGIC BUSINESS UNIT DESCRIPTIONGlobal Derivatives & FICC Technology. This group provides technology solutions to the CIBC Capital Markets derivatives, fixed income and currency trading businesses.
JOB PURPOSE
This role is for a .NET developer to work on the Derivatives Strategic Reporting platform. The role involves development of new features on the DSR platform, which is part of XTrader. In addition this role will assist with troubleshooting, post-mortem and remediation of production issues.
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
Developer on the Xrader team, working on the DSR platform.Work with dev team to deliver features & bug fixes for the applicationDevelop deep understanding of the app and the various contexts in which it is used by usersEnsure that high degree of code quality is maintained throughout the application stackDocument key components and features to ensure knowledge transfer and maintainability;Attend meetings with key stakeholders to understand requirementsEnsure that modern development practices are adoptedActively track performance metrics and develop solutions to address any issues foundCROSS-FUNCTIONAL RELATIONSHIPS
·This role requires working closely with QA team to coordinate testing and release management
·This role is required to work with Application Support team for 2nd line support for production incidents
·The role requires working with other dev teams in GDT, such as XTrader, Risk Technology to manage integration with these systems.
·The role may require communication with the end users to understand their data usage.
·Colleagues on the Technology management teams to ensure shared accountability for overall success in achieving the Technology strategy and objectives.
