Basic Job Functions:

Nucor Data Systems is seeking a meticulous and skilled Detailer to join our dynamic team. The Detailer will play a crucial role in translating project specifications into detailed technical drawings and plans, ensuring accuracy and compliance with industry standards. This position requires proficiency in CAD software, strong attention to detail, and the ability to collaborate effectively with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders.

 

Safety is the most important part of all jobs within Nucor; therefore, candidates must be able to demonstrate the ability to initiate, lead, and uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards at all times.

Job Functions: Create detailed technical drawings and plans based on project specifications and engineering designs. Accurately complete and update BOMs to ensure all drawings and specifications are properly released to production. Support with drawing programming to ensure production readiness and material accuracy. Utilize CAD and Solidworks software (e.g., AutoCAD, SolidWorks) to develop accurate and comprehensive FAB’s. Ensure all drawings adhere to company standards, industry regulations, and client requirements. Maintain organized records of all drawings, revisions, and project documentation. Update and manage project files to ensure easy access and retrieval of information. Prepare and present detailed reports on project progress and any issues related to technical drawings. Identify opportunities for design improvements and innovations to enhance the performance and efficiency of data centers. Suggest and implement improvements to enhance the efficiency and accuracy of the detailing process. Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance skills and knowledge. Prepare 3D model data center design concepts. Build strong working relationships with Data Center customers. Be a key team member able to interface with all inter-company departments. Other duties as assigned. Minimum Qualifications: 1 – 2 years of experience in sales, design, and/ or customer service experience. Strong problem-solving skills. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office programs (Excel, Word, etc.). Basic understanding of racking engineering requirements Proficient using Design Software’s (AutoCAD, Solid Works, and Inventor Preferred Qualifications: 2 – 4 years experience as Desginer within the Data Center sector. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Microsoft Dynamics 365 proficiency, preferred. Minimum education: Bachelor Degree
