Nature & Scope:
This individual will report to the Supply Planning Supervisor, Master Scheduler, this is an intermediate level position which is part of the planning team.  The position, acting as part of the team, will be accountable for the coordination and planning of ingredients, intermediates, and sold products. This individual will maintain planned inventory levels of materials to support key customers and internal production efficiencies.   The position is responsible for building and maintaining relationships with all internal stakeholders as well maintain that all customer requirements are met through efficient, cost effective Supply Chain execution. As an intermediate member of the planning team, this individual requires a higher level of strategic thinking, understanding of production capabilities, and employee development than an entry level position. 

Major Accountabilities:Maintains extensive understanding of manufacturing capabilities and supply chain processesActively seeks opportunities for continuous improvement and helps facilitate changeProactively works with the Operations team to find short term efficiencies and long term process improvementsComprehensive understanding of raw materials utilized in productionDevelop and maintain inventory sheets for key customersProvided the necessary detail and visibility on planned production levels to internal stakeholdersMaintain system attributes to drive production signals and maintain the best fit balance of materialsUnderstand testing requirements (customer and internal) and their impact on the production scheduleUtilization of MRP and system attributes to build the production scheduleMonitor production through all responsible departments and react as necessaryFacilitate communication of all production scheduling related customer delaysProficient understanding of all information systems and process connected to the supply chain value chainAttends internal training sessions to learn basic supply chain and system related skillsRun all necessary reports to review material shortagesRespond to all expedite requests in a timely manner and communicate customer order delay detail clearly and quicklyRepresents the planning team on focused customer and cross functional teamsWorks proactively to avoid challengesApproach changing, challenging situations with focus on customer order fulfillment and ADM’s best interest Develops a clear understanding and working knowledge of ADM information technology systemsUnderstands and has strict adherence to corporate compliance policies & safety systems & programsEnsures that individual goals are aligned with company goalsConstantly works on individual personal development within the companyDevelops good understanding of local facility operationsWorks to attain positive, cooperative relationships with internal colleagues across divisions & responsibilitiesEffectively use communication channels for proper coordination within the office & other locationsPortrays a positive image of the company and self when interacting with colleaguesHelps in the development & training of new employeeIs willing to work outside normal business hours including weekendsPhysical Demands:This position requires the ability to work in a variety of conditions such as an office environment and indoors/outdoors, as well as physical demands such as standing, kneeling, and sitting for prolonged periods of time. Must be able to operate a computer and other relevant office equipment for prolonged periods. Occasionally, the employee may be exposed to loud machine noise.Requirements:University degree in supply chain or business (i.e. economics, finance, accounting), supplemented with a minimum of two (2) years’ experience in the planning or scheduling of a manufacturing facility or multiple production lines.Equivalent combinations of education and experience will be considered. Ability to excel within high-risk fast-paced work environment. Ability to assess risk and exercise sound judgment in making decisions.  Analytical and interpersonal skills. Ability to work in a team environment. Ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with both internal & external customers. Computer competent, with demonstrated ability in the use of spreadsheet, database, and word processing software.  Applications within a windows based operating environment.Individual must be committed to corporate ethics policies & safety programs.Excited about this role but don’t think you meet every requirement listed?
