Designation    EUC Architect

 

Job Description            

 The EUC Architect is a senior leadership role responsible for defining, designing, and overseeing the strategic direction and implementation of enterprise-level End-User Computing (EUC) and Digital Workplace solutions. This role combines deep technical expertise with strong business acumen, leadership, and stakeholder management skills to drive transformative initiatives for clients. Lead architectural planning, design, and implementation for comprehensive EUC solutions, including Azure Virtual Desktop, Citrix XenApp/XenDesktop, Mobile Device Management (MDM) solutions like Microsoft Intune, and broader Microsoft 365 (M365) integrations, catering to complex client needs. Define and establish strategic roadmaps for clients on critical matters such as EUC & Digital Workplace, Desktop Migration, VDI, Workplace Modernization, Deployments as a Service, Field support services, Mobility, and overall Workplace Transformations, incorporating modern endpoint management strategies. Offer high-level consultative and advisory services on EUC & Digital Workplace technologies and deployment architectures, encompassing the entire process from understanding current infrastructure, identifying strategic challenges, and providing innovative, suitable solutions that leverage cloud and modern management platforms. Conduct comprehensive assessments of existing client work environments including, but not limited to, Desktops, Virtual Workspace, Collaboration tools, Unified Communications, Microsoft technologies (including Microsoft 365 suite), Cloud-based workspace solutions, Workplace security, Application delivery, MDM capabilities, patch management, desktop management, Desktop as a Service, and suggest transformative opportunities for improved adoption of pertinent workplace platforms. Ensure the implementation of sustainable, scalable, and secure EUC solutions to facilitate smooth operations, future upgrades, and alignment with client business objectives, with a strong focus on cloud-native and hybrid approaches. Engage directly with clients at a senior level to comprehend both explicit and implicit business requirements, translating these into robust technical specifications and architectural designs. Oversee the leverage and implementation of technologies such as Ivanti UWM, AppSense, Citrix WEM, and Microsoft Intune to strategically enhance the end-user experience and streamline EUC environment management. Lead the implementation of appropriate App Layering techniques to optimize application delivery and management processes across the enterprise. Guide the construction and maintenance of efficient PowerShell scripts to automate complex tasks and streamline processes related to EUC management and administration at scale, including automation for Intune and M365 configurations. Conduct assessments and lead the modernization of existing Citrix infrastructure to significantly improve efficiency, security, and user satisfaction, integrating with modern identity and management platforms. Provide technical leadership, guidance, and mentorship to EUC delivery teams, ensuring adherence to architectural standards and best practices, and fostering a collaborative environment. Collaborate extensively with cross-functional teams (e.g., business development, sales, delivery, security) to assess complex business requirements and tailor overarching EUC solutions. Manage relationships with key clients and internal stakeholders, acting as a trusted advisor and subject matter expert on all EUC & Digital Workplace matters. Lead technical discussions and presentations for RFP/RFI responses, demonstrating expertise and articulating compelling value propositions for modern EUC and Digital Workplace solutions. Actively participate in business development activities, identifying new opportunities and expanding service offerings within the EUC domain.

       

Desired Profile           

A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field. At least 5+  years of experience in the end-user computing (EUC) domain with in-depth knowledge of technologies like Azure Virtual Desktop, Intune, Citrix XenApp, and XenDesktop, Ivanti UWM/Citrix WEM. Solid understanding of Active Directory, Domain Migration, Microsoft Technologies, and Cloud-based workspace solutions. Proven experience in architectural planning, design, and implementation of EUC solutions. Strong experience in utilizing Ivanti UWM, Appsense, or Citrix WEM to enhance user experience and streamline EUC environment management. Advanced PowerShell scripting skills, with a focus on automation and streamlining management tasks. Experience across a wide range of technologies including Desktop Migration, VDI, and AppSense. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, along with the ability to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams.
