Desktop Support Technician
TEKsystems is seeking a Desktop Support Technician for one of our clients. This is a onsite hands on opportunity. Top Skills' Details + Hardware/software troubleshooting experience. + Ability to walk approx. 5miles per day on foot and lift 30lbs. Will be using carts in buildings, supporting end-users, at the SLC site location(s) + Strong Documentation and written skills using ticketing tool for Knowledge Base (KB), Ticket tracking and Ticket Escalation. + Ideally looking for candidates that have built laptops from scratch, are very familiar with skeleton components of hardware, can troubleshoot bluescreens, etc. + Have you installed and/or upgraded Microsoft Office/O365 applications to devices. Shift: Monday - Friday, 7 AM - 4 PM DAILY RESPONSIBILITY: End-User Daily operation support. > On-site computing support that is responsible for three building at the Salt Lake City Plant. > Resolve end-users emergent issues in support of specific manufacturing operations. > Reimaging and supporting various technologies and laptops. > Provide prompt response to IT service requests via phone and desk-side customer support > Routinely patrol the factory and flight line stalls in search of IT issues to pro-actively resolve issues. > Create draft documentation to be submitted for approval and add to the team (KB)Knowledge Base(HPSM) as solutions are identified. > Research, conduct troubleshoot and resolve PC, LAPTOP, Printer, Network (Wired/Wireless) and Windows Issues. > Preparation of flight-line installs for new PC Installations > Support troubleshooting of printing issues > Will be working in a factory and office environment. Using established processes, and perform software and some hardware break/fix support. > Documenting new processes that are currently being done but have not been documented. > Disconnecting and reconnecting computing equipment and networking equipment. > Helping customers via phone, in person and remotely. > 1-2 yrs experience troubleshooting basic networking issues. > Be able to provide direction and assistance to teammates > Provide end-user technical support services within the factory and office environment. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $17.00 - $17.00/hr. Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
