SUMMARY:

Provides technical assistance to information systems users. Responds to questions and resolves problems for users in person, via telephone or from remote location. Provides assistance concerning use of business systems, including computer hardware, software and operating systems.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

Confers with management, staff and users to establish requirements for information systems.Develops training materials and procedures and trains users in proper use of information systems.Sets up equipment for use, performing applicable tests to ensure all systems are in working order for designated users.Maintains record of daily data communication transactions, problems and remedial action taken, and installation activities.Reads technical manuals, converses with users, and conducts computer diagnostics to investigate and resolve problems and provide technical assistance and support.Performs such individual assignments as supervisors and superiors may direct; ensures adequate and continuous controls are exercised over all assigned activities affecting quality; establishes and maintains effective work relationships within the department, the Corporation and the community; and maintains the professional competence, knowledge and skill necessary for the satisfactory performance of all assigned responsibilities.May be required to be on call during weekends or after hours to respond to urgent technical issues or emergencies.Utilizes and navigates IT ticketing system such as ServiceNow to track, manage, and resolve user support requests.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE: Associates degree (A.A.) or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or four years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. Must have a valid driver's license as position requires travel between three AAR sites within Cadillac, MI.
