Job Summary:

We are seeking a proactive and strategic Desktop Engineer to join our IT team and help modernize our desktop infrastructure. This individual will play a critical role in driving maturity within our endpoint management environment, leading initiatives to optimize Intune administration, automate processes with PowerShell, and improve visibility into patching and hardware inventory.

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and advance Microsoft Intune for application packaging, delivery, troubleshooting, and device management.Develop and maintain PowerShell scripts to support automation of desktop tasks and system management.Lead the migration of legacy Group Policy configurations to Intune/modern management solutions.Design and implement strategies to improve hardware inventory accuracy and asset lifecycle management.Establish and manage reporting processes for system patching, compliance, and software deployments.Collaborate cross-functionally with security, infrastructure, and support teams to drive a more mature, scalable, and secure desktop environment.Recommend and implement best practices and industry standards for endpoint management.Evaluate new tools and technologies to support ongoing improvements in desktop operations.

Required Skills & Qualifications:

3+ years of experience in a Desktop Engineering or Endpoint Management role.Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune (Endpoint Manager), including packaging, deployment, troubleshooting, and policy configuration.Strong PowerShell scripting skills for automation and system management.Experience working in a mature desktop environment and contributing to its growth and optimization.Ability to think strategically and identify long-term improvements, not just short-term fixes.Familiarity with Windows 10/11 management in a corporate setting.Experience with Group Policy migration to cloud-based solutions (Intune, Azure AD).

Preferred Qualifications:
