Deskside Support Engineer
**Deskside Support Engineer** Required language : Native level Japanese and business level Work location : 100% onsite at client location (5min away from Kudanshita-station) Shift timings : Rotation shift (8am – 5pm / 8.30am – 5.30pm / 9am – 6pm / 11am – 8pm JST) Week off : Saturday, Sunday & follow Japan public holidays Team size : 13 members Years of experience : minimum 3 years to maximum 8 years in IT Service Desk • Serve as the first point of contact for customers seeking technical assistance over the phone or email in Japanese language • Perform remote troubleshooting through diagnostic techniques and pertinent questions • Determine the best solution based on the issue and details provided by customers • Follow-up and update customer status and information • Identify and suggest possible improvements on procedures • Installing and configuring computer hardware, software, systems, networks, printers, and scanners • Provide first level resolutions for End user computing and Business Applications • Ticket creation/Categorization / Prioritization in SNOW or any Ticketing tool • Ticket triaging to respective Support Group • Good Analytical & Coordination skills are essential. • Good understanding of Computers and Troubleshooting skills required in Windows 10 OS • Customer service orientation and ability to work in a team • Excellent Soft skill, Communications skills(Voice & Email) to handle Japanese customer • Troubleshooting skills on desktop and applications(MS office, Adobe etc) • Business application knowledge(L1) for increased FCR • Troubleshooting skills on VPN connectivity and tools (MS Team, Webex) • Experience in supporting windows / domain password related issues • Troubleshooting experience using remote control tools • Trouble shooting skills and experience in handling Exchange (Outlook) • Experience in handling other IT Issues like Printer, hardware (Laptop, iPhone, iPad, Desktop), browser, laptop performance related issues Cognizant is an equal opportunity employer.
