**Introduction**
In this role, you'll work in one of our IBM Consulting Client Innovation Centers (Delivery Centers), where we deliver deep technical and industry expertise to a wide range of public and private sector clients around the world. Our delivery centers offer our clients locally based skills and technical expertise to drive innovation and adoption of new technology.
**Your role and responsibilities**
* As a Designer, you work on professional projects which is often reviewed by more experienced design team members for development purposes and growth opportunities.
* You have direct influence on project and explore ideas for team.
* Your Role & Responsibilities:
* Participates in research and design activities to better understand client and user needs and find breakthrough solutions. This may involve assisting with on-site work with clients or users.
* Assists in delivering innovative user experiences and market outcomes through guided and collaborative contributions. Delivers high-quality work on time as directed. Actively involved in learning about the designer's offering, team, and organization and how to improve their skills.
* Participates in design associations, community service projects, and volunteer initiatives. Involved in studio give back projects (e.g., creation of studio assets, donates skills to others, studio tours). Assists in facilitating design thinking workshops. Proactively finds mentors both within and outside their discipline.
* Demonstrates basic critical thinking, problem solving, and craft skills. Demonstrates ability to craft and present stories, understanding of IBM's brand and products, and basic understanding of IBM Design Thinking. Is able to collaborate across design as well as business and technical disciplines. Understands digital media, design trends, and relevant tools. Begins to acquire basics skills in issue tracking, agile practices, and (where applicable) software/solution delivery.
* Demonstrates being an open-minded, positive contributor to the team. Self- organizing, proactively bring news ideas to the team, and demonstrates a strong work ethic. Assists new peer team members in navigating the team.
* Participates in design communities and competitions. Develops public speaking skills, contributes to social media (blogs, twitter, etc.). Has produced a strong portfolio of work within their discipline. Begins to share their expertise within and outside their team
**Required technical and professional expertise**
* Make suggestions and design for assigned pieces of UX projects.
* Demonstrate a functional grasp of Design Process, Interaction Design and Graphic design fundamentals.
* Hands on designer adept in user empathy, research, analytics, collaboration, quick prototyping and storytelling.
* Take a design solution to operationalisation, unblocking oneself where necessary. Take ownership of assigned projects.
* Awareness of current trends in business, design and technology
**Preferred technical and professional experience**
* Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience , Bachelor / Master’s degree (optional)
* Resilience under pressure and against deadlines.
* Strong written and verbal communication skills, as well as presentation skills inorder to make outstanding pitches.
