Designer Process Gas & Liquid

Job Summary:

Work in coordination with Analytical Engineers & / or Sr. Designer on Process Gas & Liquid projects, assignments such as Designing, Drafting, Bills of Materials to meet Analytical project requirements meeting project schedule. Each drawing package must contain precise details specifying dimensions, codes, materials, customer interface details, utility connections & area classification.

In this Role, Your Responsibilities Will Be:

Following specifications and calculations to build various technical drawings such as System Flow, P&ID, General Arrangement, Electrical Wiring, Probe Installation drawings, Network architecture diagrams, Mounting and fabrication drawings, interface / utility connections, Bill of Material etc. Delivering drawings and designs on time, strictly meeting Emerson's outstanding quality standards. Developing system designs from scratch or starting from proven references. Assisting in maintaining a strong reference database for quick referencing, and crafting/maintaining tools like symbol libraries for efficiency enhancements. Ensuring system designs meet required specifications, standards, safety, and hazardous area requirements. Estimating Enclosure/Plate/Shelter dimensions, orientations, and equipment layouts with space and volume optimization. Ensuring the equipment layout is done with maintainability, accessibility, aesthetics, safety, operability, quick removal and installation possibility, and equipment clearances without obstructions. Adhering to regulations, industry standards, and codes. Being aware of different drafting techniques like 1st angle and 3rd angle methods. Demonstrating proficiency in AutoCAD with efficient and good drafting practices. Following a checklist for self-review of drawings before squad check review, peer reviewing drawings, and following feedback/comments received. Identifying potential operational issues and redesigning systems to improve functionality, including lessons learned in the past. Adhering to PMO processes.

For This Role, You Will Need:

Minimum Diploma in Engineering (Instrumentation & Control Engineering, Electrical/Electronic/E&TC Engineering, Mechanical Engineering) or equivalent work experience with relevant exposure to an analytical design environment. Extensive knowledge of and experience with CAD tools like AutoCAD (2D/3D), Solid Works (3D), etc. Minimum of 2-5 years of experience in the field of Analytical, Chemical, Petrochemical, Refinery, Oil and Gas, Power, Fertilizer Process Industry. Practical experience with analytical systems is an advantage. Knowledge of analytical system components like tubing, fittings, valves, flanges, probes, coolers, pumps, analyzers, gas chromatographs, liquid analyzers. Knowledge of CEMS, SWAS, Process Gas Analyzers Sample Conditioning systems, Plate, Rack, Cabinet, Shelter mounted systems.

- Proficiency in English language skills - verbal and written.

Excellent knowledge of MS Office tools like Excel, Word, etc.
