Designer Job Description We are seeking an experienced Designer who will be responsible for designing electrical schematics, panel layouts, and P&ID diagrams using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical. The successful candidate will develop electrical BOMs and support documentation, program electronic controllers and radar devices, and engage in PLC programming. You will provide technical expertise to internal teams, participate in design reviews and product development, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. Managing engineering documentation and change requests are also key components of this role. Responsibilities + Design electrical schematics, panel layouts, and P&ID diagrams using AutoCAD/AutoCAD Electrical. + Develop electrical BOMs and support documentation. + Program electronic controllers and radar devices; PLC programming is a plus. + Support internal teams with technical expertise and participate in design reviews and product development. + Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards. + Manage engineering documentation and change requests. Essential Skills + Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Electrical Engineering. + 5+ years of relevant experience. + Proficient in AutoCAD and Microsoft Office. + Strong knowledge of electrical circuits, VFDs, soft starters, and fiber optics. + Familiar with NEC, NFPA 70, and C1D2 standards. + Skilled in designing and troubleshooting 3-phase and single-phase power systems, control circuits, and performing voltage drop and arc flash calculations. + Strong communication, problem-solving, and project management skills. + Willingness to travel domestically and internationally; must be eligible for a U.S. passport and TWIC card. Additional Skills & Qualifications + AutoCAD Electrical OR strong AutoCAD with electrical knowledge + Experience in electrical design and panel building. + SolidWorks knowledge is beneficial. + Self-starter with a proactive approach to design tasks.
