Your Role
As a Gensler Designer with our team in Pittsburgh, you are passionate about your craft and combine creativity and technical knowledge with business skills and understanding to produce functionally beautiful spaces for our clients. You have conceptual and technical delivery/documentation design skills for interior architecture and interior design projects, and you have a portfolio showcasing your innovative designs. A focus for the role will be designing spaces for our Aviation and Hospitality Practice Areas.
What You Will Do
Your Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Interior Design or Interior ArchitectureApproximately 10-15 years of interior design experience with varying project types with an emphasis on Aviation and/or Hospitality projectsProficient in Revit, SketchUp, 3D Studio Max and other modeling software programsProficient in Adobe Creative Suite applications (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign)Advanced knowledge of furniture, finishes, materials, color selections, and specificationsAdvanced knowledge of interior construction documentsAdvanced knowledge of applicable codes and safety considerationsStrong storytelling ability, both verbal and written, that conveys purpose and impactStrong graphics and visualization skills to effectively communicate design ideasNCIDQ/CID certification, or in process, is preferredDemonstrated commitment to sustainability and sustainable building practices; Ideally portfolios will include at least one project (especially built projects with LEED, Living Building Challenge, WELL Building Standard, Fitwel, and/or Net Zero Building certification) with this particular focusFor consideration, please submit resume and portfolio (ideally emphasizing your design experience with the aforementioned project types).
