As an **Design Verification Automation Ford Champ** **,** you will learn to digitize and automate the creation of essential sensor diagrams, collaborating with Product, Validation, and Manufacturing engineers to establish agile, robust, and standardized information flows. This role is an excellent opportunity to gain hands-on experience in automation, data management, and systems thinking within the automotive industry. **What you´ll do:** + **Automation Development:** Assist in automating the creation of sensor diagrams in Microsoft Visio using scripts and macros. + **Code Development & Maintenance:** Learn to develop and maintain MATLAB® code to generate, edit, and validate these diagrams, ensuring accuracy and consistency. + **Data Library Management:** Support the building and maintenance of a structured library of connectors and sensors, including families, pin configurations, and electrical specifications. + **Database Design & Population:** Gain experience in designing and populating a relational database to serve as the single source of truth for sensor data. + **Process Improvement Analysis:** Assist in analyzing current information workflows, identifying bottlenecks, and proposing process improvements (e.g., applying Lean/Kaizen methodologies). + **Understanding DV Processes:** Develop a deep understanding of how diagrams are utilized in Design Verification (DV) processes to ensure automation solutions meet critical validation standards. **What you´ll need:** + Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of engineering (e.g., Electrical, Mechanical, Computer), Computer Science, or a related technical field. + 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening) + Strong analytical and communication skills + Basic understanding or academic project experience with MATLAB® programming (scripts, file handling). + Basic understanding or academic project experience with Microsoft Visio or an eagerness to learn Visio automation (macros/VBA). + Foundational programming skills in Python (e.g., for data manipulation, basic scripting). + Familiarity with SQL or basic database concepts (e.g., MySQL, PostgreSQL). + An interest in electrical harness design principles and automotive connectivity. + Exposure to Git or other version control systems through academic projects or personal use. **Requisition ID** : 50546
