A client in the Cincinnati, OH area are seeking 2 Design Technicians to join their team for a contract-to-hire opportunity. The company is a large provider of engineering and project management services for all areas of the electric and gas utility industry. The purpose of this position is to design safe, cost effective and reliable designs of single pole replacements for residential, commercial, and industrial projects. They will be in office majority of the time doing design work, and 20-40% out in the field. All travel is southwest ohio and will drive a company truck for travel. When in the field, they will take inventory of everything that is attached to these poles, and then create a design that instructs power utility crews on how to replace the pole & what to replace it with. They are basically creating a map, showing the work location, & environment around it. They will use a tablet to record everything.
