We are currently seeking a Designer with strong UX and UI skills and a demonstrable history of working in building and shaping design systems, as well as a history of bringing design thinking insight to deliver compelling user experiences and user interfaces to join our growing UX organization. You will be joining a team of passionate UX professionals, working collectively to elevate design thinking and user-centered design across our products.
As a Designer on the Design System team, you’ll work closely with other designers, developers, accessibility specialists, and researchers to develop and grow our new design system ecosystem.
About the Role
As our Design Systems Designer, you will:
Create and build: Rapidly iterate through journey maps, storyboards, user flows, sketches, wireframes, and other design artefacts to effectively communicate interaction and a dynamic content strategy. Have deep experience with responsive UI design methodology and processes (user-centered and iterative design). Create prototypes for UX research testing with industry-leading tools. This will also be a hands-on role for creating the building blocks of our product component libraries and design tokens across the board, collaborating very closely with other designers from across the organization.Operationalise: Come to the role ready to operationalise the plan for a unified design system across our web and app experiences. Success for the person coming into this role will be determined by their ability to get the design system broadly adopted by the design and engineering teams in partnership with their engineering counterpart.Be part of a collaborative team: Work closely with the UX Designers, Accessibility Specialists and UX Researchers in a collaborative team-oriented environment to create new products, features and functionality. Advocate for the user’s needs while developing features that align to the needs of the user.Be an Effective Facilitator: Share ideas, participate in peer reviews, and exhibit strong listening skills. You justify and articulate design decisions during design reviews. You lead brainstorming and sketching sessions with product teams and can share outcomes using your excellent written and verbal communication skills.Be Curious & Innovative: Continuously update yourself with next-generation user experiences, technology, and contribute to process development practices. Turn user research and usability feedback into easy-to-use solutions. Gather, analyze, and synthesize UX needs for complex product and user requirements.About You
