Kforce has a client in downtown San Francisco, FL who is seeking a Design System Engineer to join their team on a long-term contracting basis. This is a hybrid position that requires candidates work onsite Monday through Thursday in San Francisco. In terms of what to expect, this candidate will maintain and continue to grow their reusable library of UI components, design guidelines, and patterns to create consistent and scalable user experiences. Responsibilities include: * Collaborating with design and development teams to ensure adherence to design standards, and champion best practices for design and engineering * Maintaining and continuing to build upon their robust, scalable design system: Creating and updating UI components, design patterns, and documentation * Ensuring consistency and adoption: Act as an advocate for design system best practices, contributing to documentation and training materials to help teams understand and utilize the system effectively. * Collaborating with cross-functional teams: Work closely with product designers, UX researchers, and engineers to ensure the design system meets the needs of both users and the organization * Improving accessibility and performance: Ensure that design system components are accessible and performant and actively seek ways to optimize them * Providing technical guidance: Be able to provide guidance to other engineers on design system best practices * Staying up to date with industry trends: Continuously learn and adapt to new technologies and design methodologies
