We are delighted to continue our work on Northern Ireland Water’s IF182 Professional Services Framework and to support our growth we have moved to a new city center office in Belfast.
This exciting pipeline of work, coupled with the scale of opportunity across the AMP8 cycle in the UK – **including supporting Southern Water** – means that we are seeking Civil Engineers at all levels with experience in the water/wastewater industry to join us.
As well as delivering work locally, you will have the opportunity to support Southern Water's AMP8 Professional Services Framework in delivering vital resilience and improvement schemes across the South of England. This includes identifying and designing nature-based solutions to improve water quality, reduce overflows, boost biodiversity, and spearhead best practices in hydraulic modelling, water recycling, and digital innovation.
As a Design Manager within our Major Projects community, you will play a key role in ensuring the successful delivery of major projects, bringing together skillsets from multiple disciplines. You will oversee all aspects of delivery across major projects, holding roles that may include delivery of design & build projects, detailed design delivery and owners engineer services – all requiring complex multi-disciplinary collaboration both internally and externally.
You will play a fundamental role within projects to identify innovative and sustainable solutions, work collaboratively with the client and other partner organisations, plan technical delivery, and lead multidisciplinary teams. You will lead the team to deliver best value and client service excellence. You will have access to Stantec’s world-class expertise to help you exceed client expectations.
**About You**
You will be a degree qualified (or equivalent)engineerand will ideally be chartered, or a member of a relevant engineering institution. Support can be given to achieve this if required. You will have a background in Civil, Mechanical, Electrical or Process Engineering.
You will have previous design experience in the water sector, ideally with a consultancy. You will have experience with waste water projects. You will have a passion for solving engineering problems, the ability to lead and inspire and the confidence to drive through challenging solutions.
