Job Description:

Parsons is looking for a Design Manager to join our team on a landmark ultra-luxury development project that includes premium buildings and supporting infrastructure. In this role, you’ll be at the center of our design delivery process—coordinating consultants, managing multidisciplinary teams, and ensuring designs meet world-class quality standards, project requirements, and client expectations.

What You’ll Be Doing:

You’ll manage and coordinate all design activities across architectural, infrastructure, MEP, and landscape packages.

You’ll ensure that design consultants deliver on time, on budget, and in line with project specifications and codes.

You’ll drive the preparation and review of design deliverables at every stage — from concept to issued-for-construction (IFC).

You’ll lead and participate in technical coordination meetings, client reviews, and design workshops.

You’ll monitor design progress, identify risks early, and work with stakeholders to find timely solutions.

You’ll support the integration of design with construction, procurement, planning, and cost functions.

You’ll facilitate value engineering and design optimization efforts as needed.

You’ll maintain a clear log of design actions, RFIs, submittals, and approvals, ensuring smooth communication between teams.

You’ll help manage regulatory submissions and ensure that all designs meet local authority requirements.

What Required Skills You’ll Bring:

A Bachelor’s Degree in Architecture, Engineering, or a related field.

At least 15 years of professional experience, including 5+ years in design management roles on major development projects.

Demonstrated experience working on high-end residential, mixed-use, hospitality, or infrastructure projects in the region.

Strong coordination skills across multiple design disciplines and external consultants.

A solid understanding of relevant building codes, authority guidelines, and international standards.

Proficiency in design tools like AutoCAD, Revit/BIM, and MS Office.

What Desired Skills You’ll Bring:

A Master’s Degree or professional credentials (e.g., PMP, LEED, RIBA, PE) is preferred.

Experience working on Giga or Vision 2030 projects is a strong advantage.

Excellent organizational, communication, and stakeholder management skills.

Ability to thrive in a high-pressure, fast-paced project environment while managing multiple priorities.
