Design Intern - Integrated Innovation Institute – College of Engineering

We are searching for a highly motivated and enthusiastic design intern to join our Marketing team this fall at the Integrated Innovation Institute. The ideal candidate should demonstrate a fundamental understanding of design principles and effective visual communication, and the ability to be both a collaborative team member and work independently on assigned projects. All interns will own and complete meaningful projects from start to finish throughout their semester with the Institute.
**_Core responsibilities include:_**
+ Work closely with the marketing team to create digital content for a variety of campaigns
+ Operate camera and audio equipment for live recordings
+ Produce and edit creative content for use on a variety of platforms — website, advertising, social media
+ Assess current state of iii video library, help conceptualize and build new ideas and concepts for iii creative content
+ Develop creative content concepts from briefs while utilizing the iii’s brand standards
+ Develop and presents conceptual design comps for approval
+ Use feedback from stakeholders to improve content
+ Manage digital assets through an organized system
+ Work from concept to completion on a variety of projects, managing your own time
+ Collaborate with the marketing team to keep projects on track

You should demonstrate:
+ Be self-motivated with the ability to prioritize and manage time effectively
+ Outstanding verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills
Qualifications:
+ Pursuing an undergraduate degree in design, digital media, marketing, video production or related field
+ Experienced in Adobe Creative Suite software
+ An understanding of digital workflows and principals
+ High attention to design detail, with an interest in usability and customer journey
+ High level of accountability and ability to work independently
+ A combination of education and relevant experience from which comparable knowledge is demonstrated may be considered

+ Reports to: Sr. Associate Director of Marketing, Integrated Innovation Institute
+ Location: Pittsburgh, PA campus
+ This is a part-time paid position, expected to work 30 hours per week
