Overview
T Brand Studio International seeks for an enthusiastic and highly-motivated Design Intern based in Paris, reporting to the Creative Director (also based in Paris). You will collaborate with our in-house team of designers and developers, as well as editors, project managers and strategists, helping to create original advertising designs and storytelling content.
The Design Intern will conduct image research, enhance or design pitch decks and event presentations, and assist in developing digital web page mock-ups, social media posts, display units and print ads. You will be encouraged to proactively share your ideas or solutions that best support the team's pursuit of exceptional brand storytelling.
We welcome enthusiastic individuals passionate about design, illustration, and typography. The candidate may be a student or at the beginning of their creative career, eager to develop their craft, learn new techniques and possess a keen eye for detail. This is a team-player position that is open to fresh ideas, while respecting The New York Times style and the advertiser’s objectives for their campaign.
Responsibilities:
+ Supporting design team members, managers and department leaders to create beautiful, impactful and dynamic visual design work for advertising campaigns.
+ Supporting the Creative Director in developing digital web mockups, pitch decks, moodboards, prototypes and visual references.
+ Assisting the full design team with digital and print advertising units, social media posts, image research, organizing and adapting assets, and maintaining up-to-date image drives and archives.
+ Helping to create beautifully designed communication materials for client outreach, client meetings, or industry events, such as email newsletters, event invitations, speaker presentations and event decks.
+ Participating and contributing ideas and offering creative input during brainstorms, team meetings and in slack channels.
+ Deliver assigned projects promptly and be receptive to feedback from managers.
+ Actively seeking feedback to improve your skills and demonstrating an eagerness to learn.
+ Learning to manage your time effectively while contributing to multiple projects.
Basic qualifications:
+ A portfolio showcasing your design work that includes examples of digital creativity (university or school projects are welcome)
+ Familiar with Adobe Creative Suite, Google Suite and Figma
+ A basic understanding of UI/UX web and responsive design
+ A developing sense of digital design, composition and typography
+ An interest in news, media and advertising trends. Openness to feedback for learning and growth.
+ Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
+ Good presentation and communication skills
+ Fluent in English (written and spoken)
Preferred qualifications:
+ Experience in a creative agency, studio, or publisher is a plus, but not a requirement.
+ Basic knowledge of HTML/CSS and web development
+ Familiarity of Webflow
+ Knowledge of French
The internship duration will be between 3 to 6 months to start ASAP, and will require a valid convention de stage (internship agreement) from a recognized school or university based in France. The internship will be paid EUR 1,000 (gross amount) per month. This is a hybrid position based in Paris, and includes regular attendance in the office each week per your departmental guidance.
