You will contribute to the planning and delivery of projects, continually learn and stay abreast of innovative technology, and communicate technical information in a concise and accurate manner. **What You Will Do:** + Develop design parameters, performance characteristics, and technical specifications of products and components that satisfy customer needs and advance safety, quality, velocity and cost. + Guiding the evolution of the technical design, technical project planning, detail design, and development testing. Participating in supplier selection and capabilities assessment. + Monitoring, exploring, and testing new technologies, materials, and components to understand product or process improvement opportunities. + Constructing and fabricating prototype equipment; overseeing materials selection, process optimization andprocess yield, as well as reliability testing and failure analysis. + Collaborate with suppliers and monitor and evaluate supplier quality. + Success factors for this position include strong communication, spatial and conceptual design skills, and an understanding of customers’ needs for specific product applications. + Assist in the integration of ILS considerations into assigned programs. + Work closely with and communicate concepts and results to customers, suppliers, team members, and other business units.
