Design Engineer - Secondary

By joining our team based onsite at Endeavour Energy’s Glendenning Office, you will play a pivotal role in designing and supporting energy solutions that have a lasting impact.

The Role

To address an increase in project demand, we are seeking a Design Engineer – Secondary to join our skilled and collaborative team. You will contribute to designing secondary systems for major new substations and the refurbishment of existing substations across the Endeavour Energy network. This is a fantastic opportunity to showcase your technical design expertise while delivering innovative and future-ready outcomes.

Deliver timely and high-quality technical designs, documentation, and scopes aligned with industry and regulatory standardsCollaborate with cross-functional internal and external teams to meet project objectivesManage and support design reviews, liaising with stakeholders to ensure alignmentPartner with field staff during and after commissioning to refine and improve designsDrive innovation by contributing to standardised and sustainable design solutions

About You

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering (or closely related discipline)5 years of experience in secondary design for high-voltage substation projectsStrong knowledge of standards (e.g. AS 2067, IEC 61850) and solid technical documentation experienceExperience in SCADA and protection systems designConstruction White Card and valid C Class Driver’s LicenceProficiency in AutoCAD or similar design applicationsEffective communication skills and the ability to manage multiple deliverables effectively
