As an Design Engineer Ford Champ, you will be integral to the product development lifecycle, from initial concept (UNV0) through to vehicle launch and beyond. Your involvement will span the entire "cradle-to-grave" process, providing comprehensive exposure to all facets of automotive design and engineering. This includes active participation and rapid response during crucial launch events such as Design Confirmation Builds (DCV's), Tooling Trials (TT's), Pilot Production (PP's), and Job 1 (J1). You will also contribute to ongoing Total Value Management (TVM) initiatives and innovative future projects, gaining comprehensive exposure to all facets of automotive design and engineering. This role offers a unique learning experience, working alongside experienced engineers to shape the future of vehicle interiors.

What you´ll need:     

Active student from any of the last 4 semesters of Automotive, Aeronautical, Mechanical, Mechatronics, Robotics, Industrial) or a closely related discipline. 90% English skills (Oral, reading, writing, and listening) Strong analytical and communication skills  Foundational understanding of mechanical, structural, and materials engineering concepts. Basic knowledge of core engineering tools and methodologies such as DFMEA, FMEA, APQP, and PPAP. Proficiency in Catia V5 is highly preferred; familiarity with Teamcenter. Proactive, self-motivated, and demonstrates a strong desire for continuous improvement and professional growth.

 What you´ll do:

CAD & PLM System Operations: Learning and applying expertise in CATIA, Teamcenter, for 3D/2D model development, data management, and Bill of Materials (BOM) structures. Design & Feasibility Analysis: Generating CAD concepts, exploring design alternatives, and ensuring manufacturing feasibility by identifying and resolving compatibility and functionality issues. Problem Solving & Process Improvement: Collaborating to resolve design challenges, analyzing incompatibilities, and applying automation tools to enhance design processes.
