Role Definition

As a Design Liaison Engineer, you will be partnering with Drivetrain design and controls teams to identify solutions to manufacturing issues, prove out new designs, and test prototype components and systems. This position is responsible for supporting Drivetrain hydraulic components and oil systems. We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join our Drivetrain Leveraged Component Division as a Design Liaison Engineer in Monterrey, Mexico.

Responsibilities

Act as the design engineering contact and first responder, providing technical support and communicating design intend to the local teams.Analysis of manufacturing processes data for problem resolution, working in collaboration with the local Quality and Manufacturing Engineering teams and U.S. Drivetrain Design team.Contribute to the design, development, and validation of new Drivetrain Control components.Support New Technology Introduction (NTI), New Product Introduction (NPI), Continuous Process Improvement (CPI) teams.Collaborate with manufacturing facilities for improvement activities.Contribute to matters regarding Concurrent Product and Process Development (CPPD), supplier collaboration and development, and Rapid Root Cause and Corrective ActionsBuilds three-dimensional models with basic materials.Communicates with professionals to understand various requirements of product design.Tests and evaluates alternative means of production being considered for use.Uses automated tools to design or modify the design of a product.Assists in building a complex prototype of product.Recognizes changing demands and priorities; validates changes with management.Obtains information about how current assignments contribute to organizational goals.Completes current work according to assigned priorities.Responds to day-to-day operational priorities while still making progress on project work.

Education requirement

Bachelor’s degree in an accredited Engineering curriculum, preferably Mechanical, Mechatronics.English language proficiency (speaking, reading, writing)

Computer-Aided Design & Engineering:

Strong computer and data analysis skills

Product Design – MFG:

Experience with drivetrain hydraulic componentsUnderstanding of engineering drawings

Product Design and Development:

Intermediate knowledge test and product developmentDesign for Experiment understanding

Additional Information

This position is located in Cienega de Flores.Required to travel up to 20% (international and domestic).Relocation assistance is not available.The work schedule is set Monday to Friday (7am-4pm).
