The Electrical Design Engineer is part of the Technical Department. They are responsible for establishing BOM and Routings for manufacturing and being technical support to Production, Product Managers, Sales and Customers. They care and improve the product range withing the employee’s responsibility and are part of the development projects.

 

GETTING A FLYING START

The Electrical Design Engineer will focus on building cables below 1 kV and special cables. They are also responsible for designing the copper conductors.

 

HOW YOU MAKE AN IMPACT

Establish and update design specifications (BOM and Routings) Initiate testing and verifications of products within the responsibility Technical support to Product management, Sales, Customers and Production Support for new product in design and calculation Initiate activities of Re-design to Margin/Cost Initiate activities to support Saving Master Plan Product development

YOUR STARTING POINTS WHEN YOU JOIN

Bachelor or Master Degree in Engineering (Electrical or Electromechanical) or equivalent job experience Knowledge of Nexans’ products, systems and project execution would be a plus Swedish and English language – written and oral Good communication skills
