Description
\t\t\t\t\tSeeking a skilled Design Engineer with experience in electro-mechanical components to lead the design and development of mechanical systems that integrate electrical assemblies for rotary and digital thumbnail switches. This role supports product lines in commercial and military aviation, aerospace, and defense sectors. The position reports to the Engineering Manager and collaborates cross-functionally with Sales, Production, and Planning teams.Design mechanical components using SolidworksDevelop and refine switch mechanisms for mechanical performance and electrical integration.Validate designs through prototyping, simulation, and testing.Collaborate with manufacturing to ensure designs are optimized for production and assembly.Apply DFM/DFA principles to enhance manufacturability.Support processes including CNC machining, injection molding, laser marking, and sheet metal fabrication.Lead mechanical design projects from concept to production.Coordinate with electrical engineering, quality, and supply chain teams.Assist Sales with bid preparation, costing, and pricing.Manage timelines, budgets, and deliverables effectively.Testing & ValidationDevelop and execute test plans for mechanical and integrated systems.Analyze test results and implement design enhancements.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $60.00/hr.
