Job Title: Design Engineer

Job Description

We are seeking a passionate and skilled Design Engineer to join our dynamic team. This role involves designing system components and assemblies with a focus on stress analysis, aesthetics, safety, cost-effectiveness, and ease of manufacture and installation. The successful candidate will be involved in prototyping, ensuring timely availability, and communicating with vendors for component approval.

ResponsibilitiesDesign system components and assemblies, focusing on stress analysis, aesthetics, and cost-effectiveness.Communicate with vendors to request quotes and approve components prior to manufacturing.Prepare and approve all drawings, create bills of materials, and document revisions for technical communication.Ensure engineering success from design through purchasing, manufacturing, installation, and support.Participate hands-on in manufacturing design prototypes.Engineer systems, modify standard designs, prepare installation drawings, and provide support during installations.Assist with sales demonstrations and perform other assigned duties.Essential SkillsProficiency in SolidWorks and AutoCAD.Mechanical ability and adeptness with hand, power, and machine tools.Experience interpreting engineering drawings and reading measurements to the 16th.Strong knowledge of mechanical code.Ability to travel and hold a valid North/South Carolina driver's license.Additional Skills & QualificationsBachelor's or Associate's degree in Mechanical Engineering (BSME or BSMET) preferred.2+ years of experience in a related field.Passion for design and automation.Work Environment

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $42.00/hr.
