Position Overview:

We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Design Engineer to join our engineering team with a focus on supporting the pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical industries. The ideal candidate will play a critical role in designing products, components, and systems that meet stringent industry requirements. This position requires proficiency in CAD tools, a solid understanding of engineering principles, and the ability to perform testing and generate comprehensive test reports.

 

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop products and systems for pharmaceutical and biopharmaceutical applications. Create and modify 2D and 3D CAD models and drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks. Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product Management, Quality, and Manufacturing. Conduct testing and validation of designed systems and components, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and internal standards. Prepare, review, and maintain detailed technical documentation, including engineering drawings, bills of materials (BOMs), and test reports. Utilize Microsoft Office tools to organize and present data, create reports, and communicate with stakeholders. Support the development and improvement of engineering processes and design standards.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field. 3+ years of relevant experience in design engineering, preferably within pharmaceutical or biopharmaceutical environments. Proficiency in AutoCAD and SolidWorks (or equivalent CAD software). Strong command of Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook). Experience in testing methodologies and the creation of formal test reports. Strong attention to detail, organizational skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication and teamwork skills. Willingness to travel for training and functional support. Bilingual English/Spanish

Preferred Qualifications:

Experience with GMP (Good Manufacturing Practices) environments. Familiarity with ASME BPE standards and sanitary design principles.
