Design Electrical Engineer
**CTG is seeking to fill a Design Electrical Engineer opening for our client in Richland, WA.** **Location:** Richland, WA **Duration:** 12 months **Duties:** + Perform highly complex electrical engineering analyses and designs in support of operations, systems, programs, inspections, and assessments requiring expertise in engineering methods, analysis, codes, standards, and regulatory requirements. + Work independently with minimal supervision while providing specialized technical guidance and support. + Serve as a technical advisor, offering counsel on assignments with unique engineering requirements that may require innovative or unconventional problem-solving techniques. + Provide technical training and guidance to small groups to resolve complex engineering issues. + Develop new policies, programs, plans, and procedures to meet strategic objectives. + Ensure compliance with applicable codes, standards, and regulatory requirements, and provide interpretation of industry guidance for application. + Identify potential issues in design, quality, or operation and recommend corrective actions. + Support outage activities, which may include working 12-hour shifts as part of 24/7 outage coverage. **Skills:** + Advanced knowledge of electrical engineering principles, practices, theories, and methods to solve complex problems and perform sophisticated analyses. + Technical expertise in related engineering disciplines and ability to maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry developments. + Strong ability to provide technical guidance, mentoring, and training to other engineering staff. + Effective communication skills to collaborate with individuals across technical and non-technical backgrounds. + Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment with minimal supervision. + Demonstrated ability to participate in industry working groups and represent engineering interests effectively. **Experience:** + Requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering from an accredited college or university and at least seven (7) years of engineering experience;OR a high school diploma and Professional Engineer (PE) license obtained by accredited examination plus eight (8) years of engineering experience;OR a GED and PE license obtained by accredited examination plus eight (8) years of engineering experience. + Commercial nuclear plant experience preferred. + Senior Reactor Operator (SRO) or Plant Certification is desirable. + PE license desirable (with a four-year bachelor’s degree in engineering). + Experience with diverse engineering assignments is desirable. **Education:** + Bachelor’s degree in engineering required (or equivalent as outlined above). Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required. The expected base salary for this position ranges from $59.00 to $83.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained.
