Design Build Wastewater Project Manager

We're looking for a dynamic professional to join our Canadian Collaborative Delivery team as a Design Build Wastewater Project Manager. This position offers the chance to be at the forefront of wastewater management innovation while working with some of the industry's most talented professionals. You'll lead the delivery of high-quality projects that exceed client expectations while ensuring profitability and championing our safety culture. This hybrid role combines remote work with in-office presence, requiring occasional travel and offering the flexibility to work from any Jacobs office across Canada. Your leadership will be crucial in fostering a positive work environment, driving project excellence, and maintaining our commitment to safety and employee well-being. You’ll develop execution plans for projects, including scope, fee, schedule, quality, health and safety, risk management, and change management plans; you’ll negotiate and manage sub-agreements, track, control and report on project performance, ensure of timely invoicing and cash collection, while also providing technical guidance for deliverables and developing, mentoring and empowering the project team. With your experience working under alternative delivery procurement models, you will lead teams through various aspects of a project from planning phase through design, construction and commissioning. With your unflinching focus on our clients’ satisfaction, you’ll maintain regular and effective communication with clients. You’ll actively support the Business Development Manager and Client Service Managers in developing and expanding opportunities with existing and new clients. You’ll have the opportunity to provide input into growth and delivery strategy within the geography. Join our team and apply your knowledge, skills and experience to some of the most challenging and interesting projects and programs in the Canadian water and wastewater field. * Bachelor’s degree or higher in Civil, Environmental or Chemical Engineering * Licensed Professional Engineer or ability to obtain within 12 months * At least 15 years of engineering design and management of municipal wastewater projects * Demonstrated experience managing the technical, contractual and financial risks associated with large/complex wastewater projects, including under alternative delivery models * Significant PM experience in multi-disciplinary projects and /or portfolio management or multi-project management, including project planning, scheduling, estimating and budgeting, progress and performance monitoring and reporting * Proven experience in preliminary design, detailed design and contract administration /construction management on wastewater projects * Demonstrated leadership skills to effectively manage diverse teams * Adept in driving compliance with the contract agreement as well as exercise rigid cost control to implement the approved design within established budget restraints * Advanced understanding of water and wastewater treatment engineering concepts and ability to communicate ideas to others * Experience delivering engineering projects in the Western Canada is an asset * Completion of formal PM training in an accredited program that aligns with the requirements of Certified Project Management bodies (e.g. PMI) is an asset Jacobs is an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action Employer.
