Design-Build Project Manager

The Design-Build Project Manager is responsible for management of design and construction project resulting in successful localization project completion in the China Region and management of facility and utilities setting up, qualification and commissioning to operate with monitoring ,controlling and optimizing the buildings during project phases and ramp up, to ensure that buildings operate efficiently and continue to environmental sustainability .

This position is required for establishing the design-build project team and to build up a manufacturing facility for coupling PrA resin within Resin business, at Tonglu site in China, by working effectively as a team manager and core team player in a program environment and maintain positive relationships with core team members and clients working, as well as design SMEs in pitching site. What you will do:

Deliver the design and build project quality, timeline, and cost as set in the overall program Resin project business, while successfully delivering design and build milestones for approval and on time schedule.

Negotiate cost-effective subcontract and material purchasesSet up and implement job procedures and techniques to assure timely buyout, shop drawing approval and material deliveryDevelop and maintain good relationship with Owner, Architect and SubcontractorsWork with Superintendent to develop safety plans and to implement safety proceduresMaintain timely and accurate reporting to program managementManage, train, and supervise project team according to Company policyOrganize regular meetings for management and subcontractorsReview contract conditions; ensure compliance with all contract termsSupervise documentation of all significant project events, e.g., accidents, delays, Change OrdersDirect preconstruction services and activitiesNegotiate, prepare and issue subcontract bid packages as per program requiredComplete project with full or enhanced feeDevelop Facility Maintenance planning and contract management with vendorsManage renovations and refurbishments with continuous improvement and cost savings initiatives Develop property strategy and organize facility condition assessment, cooperate with site,regional,global Real Estate and EHS strategyComplete other responsibilities as assigned

Who you are:

Design Build Experience and facility/utility management Experience  is a mustEngineering, Construction Management or Architectural degree or equivalent experienceField construction management experience (5-8 years, including supervisory skills)Leadership abilityProblem-solving ability and strong sense of urgencyThorough understanding of all project management control systems (scheduling, cost control, procurement and estimating)Working in a MNC environment is preferred Good command of English reading, writing, speaking and listening

Previous experience in Bioprocess/Biopharma/Medical devices’ industry  and manufacturing engineering section.Previous experience in Facility,Utility management .Willingness to travel internationally and domestically up to 60% of the time.
